Short break in the Faroe Islands
This package is perfect for groups, who want to experience the Faroe Islands throughout a short break. The programme is combined with a local guide showing the group around the choosen sights providing a real insight into the Faroese community. The tour will take the group around the islands reachable by car and spend the three nights in Tórshavn.
Meet and greet at the airport. Sightseeing tour on Vágoy where we drive to the small and picturesque villages Bøur and Gásadalur. The tour offers an unparalleled view of the fjord, the islet Tindhólmur and Mykines. Transfer to Tórshavn and check-in at hotel
The morning starts with a sightseeing in the capital with bus and guide where you get a good overview of the city and its history, its architecture, old town Reyni, the world's oldest parliament Tinganes and Fort Skansin. From Tórshavn the bus will drive the group to the historical cultural Kirkjubøur - the groupwill visit the oldest wooden house Roykstovan with its 900 years, the church from the year 1111 and the ruins of St. Magnus Cathedral. Rest of afternoon free at own leisure.
Full day tour with guide to Streymoy and Eysturoy and the Northern islands. First stop is in Saksun, where the Atlantic Ocean is surrounding the village. Hereafter the tour will continue further to Eiði and then Gjógv where you will pass the highest mountain on the Faroe Islands, Slættaratindur (882m) as well as you will have a view to the rock formations “the Giant and the Witch”. After a lunch break, the tour will continue further north to Klaksvík, the second largest city in the Faroe Island. After a short walk in Klaksvik, a sightseeing tour to the island Borðoy and Kunoy will be completed.
