DAY 1: Arrival
Upon arrival you will meet you airport transfer that will drive you south to one of the smallest capitals in the world: Tórshavn. Here you will check in to your hotel.

Day 2: Tinganes, Reyn and Skansin
Today you will start in the centre of Tórshavn. The tour is about 3 hours. Tórshavn is the world's smallest capital, beautifully situated at the foot of the surrounding mountains with a panoramic view of the island of Nólsoy. You´ll walk through the old part of the town: Reyn and Tinganes. You will finish the day by visiting the old fort that has protected Tórshavn in many dangers: Skansin. By the end of the tour the guide will show you where the restaurants for lunch and dinner are in town and where to find souvenirs to bring back home.

Day 3: Gjógv, Oyndafjørður and Faroese Cultural evening
Ever heard of the story of the Giant and the witch who wanted to drag the Faroe Islands to Iceland? Hear the guide tell you the story while you watch the beautiful view of these two sea stacks that look like a witch pointing to the sun and a giant shielding his face. This is among the things that you will see today together with the beautiful gorge of Gjógv, the picturesque fjord of Oyndafjørður and you get to enjoy a Faroese cultural evening with traditional music, food and dance.

Day 4: Vestmanna, Saksun and home hospitality
Enjoy a day with a boat tour to the Vestmanna sea cliffs, where many birds have their natural hapitant during the summer. See the Faroese history in the vax museum in Vestmanna before you head to the hidden marvel of Saksun, where it looks like you have entered the Shire in the Lord of the Rings. You also get to visit a Faroese family, where they invite you in for lunch.

Day 5: Skúvoy and Sandoy
Visit the small island of Skúvoy which is one of the very isolated island in the Faroe Islands. Here the animal life is rich with very few disturbance. Enjoy a stroll in the small village and a tour to the tombstone of the man who brought Christianity to the Faroe Islands. Visit one of the small wooden churches on the island of Sandoy before you head back to Tórshavn with the ferry.

Day 6: Day off with the possibility to buy add on to Mykines
Enjoy the day off. You can go for a hike to Kirkjubøur, or you can take the time to enjoy Tórshavn on your own – visit the art museum or enjoy watching life from one of the cosy cafés in town.

Add on tour to Mykines:
If you don’t feel like having a day off it is possible to buy a tour to the island of Mykines. Please note, that this tour will not be with your usual guide nor bus. Visit the bird island Mykines. Spot puffins, that charming little bird with a colourful beak, or the impressive gannet, which can only breed on the isolated islet to the west of the main island. To get out to the islet and its lighthouse, one must cross a bridge - a bridge which crosses the Atlantic Ocean, but unfortunately it will not be possible this summer due to a deluge. Back in the village, you can pop in at the local café or have a stroll in the small and beautiful surroundings while withing for the ferry back home.

Day 7: Kirkjubøur, Nordic house and national museum.
Start the day in the cultural centre in the Faroe Islands: Kirkjubøur. Hear the many stories connected to this village while enjoying the beautiful scenery and enter one of the oldest wooden houses in Europe. Visit the Nordic House where all the northern countries are represented, and you will get lunch as well. Continue to the national museum where you can hear of the origin of the Faroe Islands and see many of the historical stories that you have heard through the last week.
In the evening you will enjoy a farewell dinner in one of the best restaurants in town: the Tarv quality Grill house.

Day 8: Departure and Gásadalur
Today is the day that you (sadly) will be leaving the islands. You will however have one last photo stop before you do: Gásadalur. Take a stroll down to the famous waterfall called Múlafossur. Take the opportunity to capture this in a photograph to frame back home.
