Optional No-host Dinner at Katrina Christiansen / NUSCT
Monday 2nd June 19:00-21:15 at Katrina Christiansen, Tórshavn
Welcome to the very heart of Tórshavn, welcome to Katrina Christiansen. If these walls could tell their story, they would reveal many secrets from the old town. Parts of the house date back to the early 18th century, possibly even further. Several of its past residents played a role in placing the house in the history books, though not the original owner, as we cannot say with certainty who built it. This is a place of charm and history, offering first-class cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Inspired by the tapas-style concept, the menu is carefully crafted with influences from Faroese culinary traditions and the finest ingredients from the local nature and sea. Tapas-style dining means enjoying multiple small dishes, allowing for a diverse and flavorful tasting experience.
The menu consists of three servings. The first serving includes pan con tomate, a crunchy bread with fresh tomato and garlic, along with chorizo in red wine. The second serving features tortilla Española, a traditional potato dish, accompanied by albóndigas, tender meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. The meal concludes with a classic Crema Catalana, a delicate and flavorful custard dessert.
The price per person is 495 DKK. Wine pairing is available for 415 DKK, and a beer pairing for 385 DKK. For a complete experience, a package including a welcome drink, wine pairing, coffee, and avec is available for 595 DKK. Enjoy a culinary journey in a setting filled with history and charm at Katrina.
