There are a lot of sheep’s on the Faroe Islands, and sometimes these sheep’s can walk on the road. Please mind the sheep’s while driving to avoid any accidents.
2 - SPEED LIMITS
Please notice that the speed limits (unless indicated otherwise on a sign) on the Faroe Islands is 50 km/h in built-up areas (urban) and 80 km/h on main roads (non-urban).
3 - LIGHTS ON! SEAT BELT ON! ALWAYS!
Always make sure, that the lights on the car are turned on, before you start driving. We always recommend that you and your fellow passengers are in seat belts while driving. The majority of the roads are in in very good condition, and the need for 4x4 vehicles is minimal, as almost all the roads are paved. The traffic is very light, compared to other countries.

The natural harbour in Gjógv The village is characterized by its charm, magnificent landscape and characteristic natural harbour, which is a gorge with steep cliffs on both sides. The colours on the rocks are fascinating and the acoustics in the gorge is no less impressive. On several occasions through the summer, musical concerts are held in the gorge. (On Eysturoy)
3The Seal Woman Visit the village Mikladalur, that is well known for the saga of the Seal Woman. By the sea you will find a 3m tall statue of the Seal Woman, that defies the wind and rain to catch a last glimpse of her children who she the was forced to leave behind when she returned to the sea. 4Vestmanna bird cliffs Sail into deep grottoes through narrow straits, close to the almost 700 metre high sheer cliffs, where thousands of sea birds such as puffins, guillemots and fulmars breed every summer. (On Streymoy)
